2018.
go enthusiastically
into this bright shiny new year.
with acknowledgement that
it may still hold
glimpses of the broken parts
of the year that was,
and times ahead that will
test your resilience.
but also know
that it most certainly
will hold an abundance of joy
of love and of beauty.
and that, my little friends,
is something to run towards.
